Colin Heeter
2032 Blue Head Coach and 2035 Co-Head Coach
Coach Colin Heeter is currently the Head Coach of Next Level 2032 Blue and Co-Head Coach of Next Level 2035. He has been a part of the Next Level Lacrosse program for more than a decade, serving in a variety of coaching and leadership roles and working with players from the youth through high school levels.
Coach Heeter attended The Heights School, where he was a four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team. He later attended Johnson & Wales University, earning an associate degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Sports, Entertainment & Event Management.
Heeter began his coaching career in 2008 as an assistant coach at Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C. Following the season, he moved to Providence, R.I., and joined the Brown University men’s lacrosse staff as a volunteer assistant, where he coached during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. At Brown, he worked primarily with the goalies and attackmen and was heavily involved with game filming, film breakdown and scouting. During his time with the Bears, Brown returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2009 after a 15-year absence, earned a share of the 2009 Ivy League regular-season championship and qualified for the inaugural Ivy League Tournament in 2010.
After returning to the Washington, D.C. area, Heeter joined the lacrosse staff at Bishop O’Connell High School, where he served as JV Head Coach before being promoted to Varsity Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.
In 2017, Heeter joined the St. Albans School lacrosse program as a varsity assistant coach. He was named Interim Head Coach in 2019 and remained in that role for more than two years, leading the program throughout the COVID-impacted seasons. In 2022, after joining St. Albans full-time, the interim designation was removed and he was officially named Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. Under his leadership, St. Albans won back-to-back DCSAA Championships in 2022 and 2023. In 2026, the Bulldogs advanced to the IAC Championship Game for the first time since 2007, including postseason victories over Episcopal and Bullis.
In addition to leading the lacrosse program, Heeter serves as an Assistant Athletic Director at St. Albans, overseeing communications and marketing for the school’s athletic department.
Heeter has been heavily involved with Next Level Lacrosse throughout his coaching career, previously serving as the organization’s Director of Camps, Leagues and Tournaments from 2015–2022. He has coached numerous Next Level teams across multiple age groups, including the 2027 Blue team from its youth years through the conclusion of the team’s club career. He currently serves as Head Coach of Next Level 2032 Blue and Co-Head Coach of Next Level 2035, with an emphasis on player development, competitive team play and building a strong team culture.
