Coaches

Matt Hickman

Coach Matt Hickman is one of the most effective shooting coaches in the DMV.  Matt is the Head Coach of  Next Level 2034 Red.  Coach Hickman graduated from Georgetown Prep in 2004 before attending Salisbury University.  While at Salisbury he was a three-time National Champion, a two-time All-American, and Player of the Game in the 2007 National Championship.  He played for the MLL New Jersey Pride in 2008 and is a current member of the Lasersharks & Megamen Indoor Teams who play in Nationwide and International Tournaments.  Matt was recently inducted into the Salisbury Athletics Hall of Fame.

Dave Colangelo

Coach Colangelo is a native of Syracuse, NY, where he played football, basketball, and lacrosse at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.  He played lacrosse and football at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA.  Coach Colangelo began his coaching career as an assistant at The Covenant School in Charlottesville, VA while earning a Masters degree in accounting at UVA, before relocating to Northern Virginia.  His 15+ year head coaching career includes stops at John R. Lewis HS, Loudoun County HS, Herndon HS, and Loudoun Valley HS.  His teams have won multiple Virginia High School league district and regional titles, and he was twice named the Dulles District and VHSL North Region Coach of the Year, as well as a LoCo Sports and US Lacrosse Coach of the Year nod.  He also has experience coaching travel club at the youth and high school levels, having previously coached for FuZe, 3D Mid-Atlantic, Valley Venom, Cavalier, Virginia Lacrosse Club (VLC), and True Loudoun.  He has coached over 75 players who have gone on to continue their careers collegiately at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels, including four All-Americans, four District/Region Players of the Year, and numerous All-State, All-Region, and All-District selections.

Harry D’Agostino

Coach Harry D’Agostino is the assistant coach for the Next Level 2034 Red Team. Hailing from Jacksonville, FL, Coach Harry was a three-year starter at attack and midfield for the Episcopal School of Jacksonville and was voted to serve as team captain his senior year. He was also awarded the Coach’s Award his senior year by his coaches and teammates as a result of his leadership throughout the season. Harry would go on to complete his undergraduate degree at Hampden-Sydney College where he was a 4-year player on the varsity team. Harry has an extensive coaching resume at the youth level coaching at Bethesda Lacrosse club for two years prior to joining the 2033 Blue team as an assistant coach for the 2025-2026 season.
