Coaches

Dave Mitchell
Coach Dave Mitchell is the President and Co-Owner of Next Level Lacrosse. Dave is fortunate to have outstanding teachers, coaches, and role models who helped shape his life in a very positive way. Inspired by those relationships and by the transformational power of teaching and sports, Dave aspired to be a life-long coach at an early age.

Boots Lackey
Boots joined Next Level as a player in 2015 on the program’s inaugural high school team. He graduated from The Heights School in 2019, where he played under Dave and Boh Mitchell. Boots went on to play lacrosse at Washington and Lee University as a long stick midfielder all four years, and led the team to the 2023 ODAC championship and a berth in the 2023 NCAA Elite Eight.
A two-year starter for the Generals, Boots garnered USILA All-American, IMCLA All-Region, Second Team All-ODAC accolades, and participated in the USILA North-South Senior All-Star game.
Boots began his coaching career as a Defensive Coordinator for The Covenant School in Charlottesville, Virginia, while completing his Master’s in Accounting at UVA. Outside of coaching, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, and cooking.

Conor Jordan
Coach Jordan is the NL 2028 Red Head Coach. He graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in May 2016 with a degree in History and a minor in education. Conor started for four years as an attackman while attending St. Mary’s. In his final season at St. Mary’s, he was named to the Second-team All-Conference Team and named a Scholar All-American for his efforts on the field and in the classroom. Conor finished his Master of Arts in Teaching program at St. Mary’s in June 2017. During his master’s program, he helped the team as a volunteer, working with the offensive players. CJ has been a teacher in the public school system for many years.
