Coaches
Tommy Gross
Tommy Gross grew up playing lacrosse in Silver Spring, Maryland, before continuing his career at Saint Joseph’s University, where he became the team’s starting goalkeeper. During his time at SJU, Tommy helped lead the Hawks to an Atlantic 10 Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance, ranking among the top five goalkeepers in the country in goals-against average and top ten in save percentage — establishing himself as one of the premier netminders in Division I lacrosse. He graduated from Saint Joseph’s with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Educational Studies. Now pursuing a career in education, Tommy brings seven years of youth coaching experience to Next Level Lacrosse and is excited to help the next generation of lacrosse players sharpen their game, both on and off the field.
David Diamond
David Diamond is the Co-Head Coach of Next Level 2031 Red Team and the Assistant Coach of Next Level 2035 Red Team. David helped start the lacrosse program at The Heights School in 1998. While at The Heights, Coach Diamond was a 3-year starting goalie and named Team Captain and Team Most Valuable Player in the spring of 2000. David has coached Varsity high school ball for many years in the DMV area, including The Heights School and Bullis School. Several of his goalie proteges have been very successful at both the high school and college levels, most notably Tommy Gross who earned Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference honors for St. Joes.
