Boots joined Next Level as a player in 2015 on the program’s inaugural high school team. He graduated from The Heights School in 2019, where he played under Dave and Boh Mitchell. Boots went on to play lacrosse at Washington and Lee University as a Long Stick Midfielder all four years, leading the team to the 2023 ODAC championship and a berth in the 2023 NCAA Elite Eight.
A two-year starter for the Generals, Boots garnered USILA All-American, IMCLA All-Region, Second Team All-ODAC accolades, and participated in the USILA North-South Senior All-Star game. Boots began his coaching career as a Defensive Coordinator for The Covenant School in Charlottesville, Virginia, while completing his Master’s in Accounting at UVA. Outside of coaching, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, and cooking.
