The Next Level Difference – Episode 3 – Ryan Giles (Landon ’20 & Denver ’24)

The Next Level Difference – Episode 4 – Joey Graham (Landon ’20 & Harvard ’25)

Our experience with Next Level has been nothing short of outstanding. It was very clear early on that the coaches were deeply committed not only to developing strong athletes, but also to shaping confident, disciplined young people. My son grew tremendously during his time with the program—his skills on the field improved, but just as importantly, so did his teamwork, resilience, and love for the game.

Like any organization, it starts from the top. The Mitchell brothers are the type of men you want mentoring your kid, no comparison within the kids sports world in the Metro Area. Coaches spend a lot of time with our kids and therefore it’s vey important you surround your kid with coaches and mentors that will have a positive influence which can prove to be very difficult in this field. Dave and Boh’s leadership trickles down through the whole organization. The Next Level coaching staff strikes a rare balance between competitiveness and support. They challenge the players to push themselves while creating an environment that is positive and encouraging. Every player is held to a high standard, and that consistency builds both accountability and confidence.

What stands out most is the sense of community. The team fosters strong connections among players and families, making it feel like much more than just a sports program. Tournaments are well-organized, communication is clear, and the overall experience is both fun and rewarding.

I’m grateful for everything Next Level gave my son—both on and off the field—and would wholeheartedly recommend the program to any family looking for a meaningful and high-quality lacrosse experience. My son, now 25, still reaches out to Dave and Boh a few times a year and tries to see them when he’s in town.

There is no better person to help you and your child navigate the complicated and fraught college lacrosse recruiting process. Dave Mitchell never steered us wrong, and his unparalleled relationships with college lacrosse coaches helped us immensely during the recruiting process. The college coaches trust him and he has the best interest of his players at heart. I wholeheartedly endorse Dave Mitchell and the Next Level coaches and Staff. My son Luke Myre attended Bullis and played for the 2027 Next Level team, which was nationally ranked. At the start of his junior year he committed to University of Pennsylvania. Luke first picked up a lacrosse stick at a Next Level lacrosse clinic 5 and a half years earlier. We are very grateful to Next Level for the role it played in Luke’s lacrosse journey.

Our son began his lacrosse experience in the second grade with Next Level lacrosse and was a member of the program for ten years.  We feel so fortunate that he was coached and mentored by both Dave and Boh Mitchell during his club lacrosse career.  Their ability to inspire young athletes, cultivate a love of the sport and connect with players, while instilling character and sportsmanship at the highest levels, is something we as parents truly value.  Their leadership and positivity contributed to his love of the sport and desire to become the best player he could be.  The influence of a coach leaves lasting impressions and goes far beyond the game, instilling life lessons that players carry with them for years.  We have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that dedicated coaches like Dave and Boh can have on young athletes.  We are grateful to have been a part of this program and while there are many club programs in the area to choose from, truly believe there is none better!

Next Level truly lives up to its name — it is the next level. It’s an incredible place for athletes to grow both on and off the field.  Our son experienced amazing progress and received unwavering support, particularly from Coach Boh Mitchell, who was a role model, mentor, and friend every step of the way.  Thank you to a phenomenal group of coaches, we could not be more grateful for the impact they’ve had on our son!

From the very beginning, Next Level Lacrosse has been so much more than a club team. What you have built is something rare—a program grounded not just in skill development, but in character, accountability, and a deep understanding of the game. Through your leadership, our sons Henry, Billy, and Danny didn’t just learn how to play lacrosse—they learned how to think it, respect it, and lead within it.

You have been far more than coaches. You have been mentors, role models, and trusted guides during some of the most formative years of their lives. You pushed them when they needed it, supported them when it mattered most, and believed in them—sometimes before they fully believed in themselves.

Because of your dedication, our boys grew not only as athletes, but as leaders. They became students of the game, teammates others could rely on, and young men capable of stepping into captain roles with confidence and integrity. Those lessons will stay with them far beyond the field.

We are especially grateful for the care and commitment you showed throughout the recruiting process. Your guidance, advocacy, and belief in their potential helped open doors that once felt like distant dreams. Watching all three of our sons earn the opportunity to play at the University of Michigan is something our family will carry with us forever—and we know that journey would not have been possible without you.

Thank you for investing in our children the way you have. Thank you for holding them to a high standard and for showing them what it means to pursue excellence with humility. And thank you for building a program that truly lives up to its name—helping these young men reach the next level, in every sense of the word.

With deep gratitude and appreciation, to the whole Next level family

We feel fortunate to have been part of the Next Level program for over ten years with our three sons. It’s been impressive—though not surprising—to watch Dave and Boh grow Next Level from humble beginnings into one of the most competitive lacrosse clubs in the country. More important than wins and losses, they are outstanding coaches, mentors and advocates for their players.

We met Dave Mitchell when our twin boys were evaluating which club they wanted to play for in high school.   Dave had just taken over the head coaching role of the 2025 Next Level team, which had been winless the prior season, and we could immediately tell that his approach was unique and that of an owner of the business.  He was committed to turning things around, providing a great experience for our sons, and building a winning culture.  Our leap of faith was rewarded with an undefeated season the following season and a perennial national ranking through out their high school club careers.  As late bloomers the college recruiting process was a difficult one and was ultimately delayed until after the boys’ junior high school season.  Dave was a tremendous resource and advocate and in a condensed and high-pressure recruiting cycle he communicated seamlessly with college coaches, their high school recruiting coordinator, and us.  The result was multiple offers and both boys playing division I lacrosse at excellent schools.  The Next Level experience was a huge win for us.

I met Dave Mitchell through another Next Level parent soon after Dave had acquired the club. It quickly became clear that he and Boh were building something special – a DMV based club that would provide the coaching we sought and a positive, lasting experience for our boys. My older son was a proud teammate amongst a group of players who helped, through the club’s new leadership, establish Next Level as a leading regional club and trusted source of talent in the ultra-competitive college recruiting process. We look back fondly on being part of the foundation of a great lacrosse club and are proud to be part of the Next Level Lacrosse family.

Pasha began his journey with Next Level in 3rd grade, grew through the program, and has since come full circle—now returning to help coach during the summer whenever his schedule allows. That alone speaks volumes about the impact this program has had on him.

Dave has consistently been more than a coach—he’s been a trusted friend and mentor to the boys. The lessons they’ve learned and the connections they’ve built as part of the Next Level family are invaluable and will stay with them for a lifetime.

We can’t say enough about Dave Mitchell and his Next Level program.  Our son Peter received superior instruction and fantastic coaching during his four years with Dave and Next Level.  His skills improved immeasurably under Dave’s tutelage, which is a major reason why Peter is playing lacrosse at the “next level” during the next four years.  What sets Dave apart from others is that he really wants what’s best for his boys both on and off the field.  He cares about his players as human beings first and foremost, and his players love playing for him because of it.  Dave was also extremely patient in guiding Peter and our family through the college recruiting process.  Not only is he well-connected with Division I, II, and III college coaches, but he also tirelessly advocates for his players so that they land at the right school and program for them.  Dave is a primary reason why Peter will be playing at Holy Cross during the next four years.  Thanks Dave!

Next Level has been instrumental for John’s development from 5th grade to the present as he currently plays for the Maryland Terrapins and stays in touch with the Mitchell brothers on a regular basis.  Boh Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, and all the coaches have made such a positive impact on our son’s life.  The support, and fellowship, and friendship our family has fostered while being part of the Next Level Family is truly immeasurable.  Thank you!
