
Greg McCavera
2034 Blue Co-Head Coach
Greg McCavera is the co-Head Coach of the 2034 Next Level Blue team. Coach McCavera is a Long Island native and was a three-year varsity player at Lynbrook High School, earning All-League, All-County, All-American honors and was a member of the 1994 Empire State Lacrosse team. At Georgetown University, he was a four-year starter, team captain, three-time All-American, and the first, 1st team All-American in program history. In his senior year Coach McCavera led the Hoyas to Georgetown’s only final four appearance. Coach McCavera is a member of the Georgetown University Athletic Hall of Fame and was named by Sport Illustrated as Georgetown University’s Top 10 Athletes of all time. Following Coach McCavera’s college career, he was a member of the 2000 USA World Cup Team, played three seasons in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) for the Pittsburgh Crossfire and Washington Power as well as three years in Major Lacrosse Lease (MLL) for the Baltimore Bayhawks and the Long Island Lizards winning a MLL Championship with the Lizards in his final year.
