Mike Henehan


2030 Blue Co-Head Coach

Mike Henehan is Head Coach of the 2030 Next Level Blue team.  He was a 3-sport athlete in high school where he played football, basketball and lacrosse at Canandaigua Academy in Upstate, New York.  He was an All-American midfielder/attackman in lacrosse and member of the Empire State team.  He then went onto play lacrosse at Georgetown University where he was a 2-time NCAA Division I All-American, team captain and starter on the ’99 team that made it to the Final Four.  Following college, he played Major League Lacrosse for the Boston Cannons and Baltimore Bayhawks.  One highlight of his professional career was traveling back home to Rochester, NY with the Bayhawks and being a starting midfielder alongside Gary Gait, who he looked up to growing up.  Mike has coached numerous clinics, camps, rec teams and youth club lacrosse teams.  He most recently coached at Bethesda Lacrosse Club for six years and led the 2030 Blue team to three undefeated HOCO seasons and Elite Division Championships.  He has a passion for coaching lacrosse and sharing his love and understanding of the game with the next generation.
