Trip Heckler

Faceoff Development

Trip picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time the summer before his freshman year at Gonzaga and instantly fell in love with the game. After some faceoff training with close friend Chris May, Trip tried out as a defensive midfielder/fogo and made the Gonzaga freshman team which went on to be undefeated that season. Trip became the face off man for the JV team his sophomore year, giving him the skills to then make varsity his junior and senior year where he was able to win back to back WCAC Championships. During that time Trip committed to play Division III lacrosse at Roanoke College in Virginia where he would play for three years and coach for one, missing his junior year due to injury. During his Junior year season Trip stepped in as a student coach where he worked exclusively with the face off unit and helped get his team to the ODAC Championship game using creative face off and wing play strategy. Since graduating Roanoke College in 2019, Trip has continued to work with face off specialists to help them master their craft all over the DMV and in the New England area.
